Adolphe Trèves founds the company and acquires embroidery machines, then weaving looms. The Company receives awards for its industrial productions during the Paris World Exhibition in 1865.

Citroen produces 30 cars daily on its assembly lines in Paris. Trèves is awarded its first automotive business and delivers its products from its factory in Saint-Quentin in the North of France.

Trèves exclusively produces the roof hoods of the 2CV Citroën, a popular car which achieved a remarkable success over several decades.

Trèves specializes as an automotive supplier of Renault and Citroën for plastic coated textiles and velour seat fabrics.

In France, cars with very high production volumes boost Trèves growth. The Company starts manufacturing floor carpets. The first set-ups abroad are made in Spain then in Portugal.

In the 1990s, Trèves moves to the other continents: Asia, North and South America. The Group becomes Global with new factories in Turkey, Slovenia and in Northern Africa. Trèves know-hows are completed with the acoustic treatment of vehicles.

Trèves, as a specialist in acoustic and thermal comfort also brings new functionalities to the market. It participates to an improved environmental footprint with light weight concepts and optimized design of the parts it supplies. It also tirelessly pursues its efforts in being highly competitive.
